Sri Thirisathi Maha Chandi Yaagam: In this world Sakthi prayer is considered to be the best prayer. We regard Sri Mariamman as our mother and chant Sri Devi Mahaathmiya Paaraayanam. Doing prayer and homam are the best forms to receive her blessings.
Which is the best yaagam to gain the maximum effects? This question is posed to Lord Parameswaran. He answered “Bhagavath Geetha is considered to be the best form to attain the maximum effects. Likewise, Chandi Yaagam is considered the best form of prayer to attain the maximum effects from Goddess Parvathi”.
During the Chandi Yaagam, the 3 powers of Sri Durga, Sri Mahalakshmi, Sri Saraswathi is combined to form Sri Chandiga Devi.
Her history is told in 13 chapters which contain 700 slogans. These slogans are called Sri Devi Mahaathmiyam. Prayers which contain Sri Devi Mahaathmiyam slogans will protect the country, the people, and all living things from natural disasters, disturbances from enemies, evil-eyes, all curses, unhappiness between husband and wife, financial hindrances. It will also give you enhancement in education, wealth, victory in court cases, and job security.
The 10 day homam will commence with Sri Vigneswara prayers and will conclude with Holy Kalasa Abishegam, Santhanakuda Abishegam, and Annathanum. Devotees are requested to participate in this auspicious yaagam and obtain the divine blessings.
